MG Attorneys was established in 2009 and it is a 100% Black owned Law Firm, we a B-BBEE Level 1 Contributor. The firm consists of Attorneys who have a collective practical legal experience of more than 20 (twenty) years, with more than 6 lawyers engaged in the Firm's Litigation and Commercial Practice.
Our reach extends from our "Home Court" Jurisdiction to the High Court, Labour Court, Appellate Court, Constitutional Court and Governmental bodies, Specialized Courts and Regional and National Arbitration Tribunals. We win cases for clients across a broad spectrum of litigation. Our Corporate Social Responsibility is aimed at giving back into the legal fraternity by offering experiential learning and internships to new graduates seeking to join the profession. We believe that as a proudly South African Law Firm, we have the responsibility to ensure that young legal minds, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, receive all the available opportunities to gain entry into the profession.
Our contribution will not be focusing on developing Candidate Attorneys only. From the Debt Collection Contract that we had with the Ekurhuleni Municipality from 2016 to 2019 we managed to get an opportunity of giving young Black South Africans employment who were struggling to get jobs due to lack of higher education certificates.
This great opportunity of Social Development has been enhanced by the Contract that we recently signed with the Rand Mutual Assurance. With this contract we will not be employing Legal Minds only it is surely going to open doors for young South Africans that are faced with stagnation due to lack of employment in the Country.
We have in the past impacted our Communities through giving Legal Advice on Radio. The Legal Advice mentioned above was given by one of our partners Ms. Bongeka N. Gqwede and she worked with two Radio Stations that is Umhlobo Wenene Radio Station and Kasie Community Radio Station. The purpose of the Legal Advice on Radio was to give Legal Awareness to our community members focusing more on those who lacked access to Justice. We aimed at bringing Justice closer to our people so to equip them with knowledge and solutions to questions they had but could not get answers due to lack of financial incapacity and other social factors.
We are planning to continue in assisting our communities through Community Radios Station and we are currently in negotiations with the few of them.
We are affiliated with the Pro Bono Office of the Legal Practice Council.
